Pursuant to the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, the annual financial statements of a Hong Kong limited company must be audited by a Certified Public Accountant. The audited financial statements must be laid before the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting, and submitted or retained for later submission to the Inland Revenue Department.
